The Problem
Your Google Ads account has been suspended and your lead flow stopped overnight. No warning, no clear explanation, just a vague policy violation notice and an appeal process that feels like shouting into a void. Every day without ads is lost revenue.
Why This Happens
Common Suspension Triggers
Circumventing systems policy: Cloaking, redirects, or misleading ad destinations. Suspicious payment activity: Declined payments, unusual billing patterns. Unacceptable business practices: Missing terms/privacy pages, misleading claims. Destination mismatch: Ad URL doesn’t match landing page content. Malware or unwanted software: Compromised website triggering Google’s security scan. Most suspensions stem from landing page issues or missing legal pages, not intentional violations.
How to Fix It
Step 1: Identify the exact violation. Google’s suspension email contains a policy reference. Match it to Google’s Ads Policy documentation to understand the specific issue.
Step 2: Fix the violation completely. If it’s a landing page issue, fix the page. If it’s missing policies, add terms and privacy pages. If it’s ad content, revise the ads. Document every change.
Step 3: Submit a detailed appeal. Explain what was wrong, what you fixed, and how you’ll prevent recurrence. Include screenshots of the fixes. Appeals typically take 3-7 business days.
Step 4: If the appeal fails, escalate. Google Premier Partners (like us) have direct access to Google’s policy team for escalation. We’ve successfully reinstated accounts that failed standard appeals.
